Overview

Product Description

The Pierre Frey Teti rug, is distinguished by its repetitive tightly knit pattern. Defining its exclusive style with a strong visual impact, it gives a dynamic and modern effect. Inspired by the Egypt of the Pharaohs, this complement characterized by its decorative finesse, offers an elegant solution to complete your compositions.

A tribute to the decorative modernity of ancient Egypt defines the motifs of the Merveilles d'Egypte collection, of which the Teti rug is a part. The motifs draw inspiration from the collections of Swiss Egyptologist Gustave Jequier, created as decorations for the famous Louvre museum. The collection also finds its way into domestic environments through Pierre Frey. Thanks to the ancestral knowledge of Nepalese knotting, still made by hand in Kathmandu, it offers the same decorations on both wallpapers and upholstery in different fabrics.

Made with 100% Wool and Nepalese hand-knot technique.

Pierre Frey, French Furnishing Fabrics

The company established in 1934 from the idea of the eponymous founder Pierre Frey and designer Jean Chatanay specializes in furniture and textile production. After the War, the brand reached the American market and established itself as an international player in the textile industry.

In the following years, the management of the brand passed from generation to generation, acquiring other businesses such as Denimal weaving mill in northern France, Boussac and Fadini Borghi, and Le Manach. The vision, not only artistic but business oriented, placed Pierre Frey as an icon of elegance and quality in the textile industry.

Through research and development of new styles and solutions for living, the company launched several collections, among these also furniture and home accessories. Pierre Frey's already diverse catalogue is in fact completed with chairs, armchairs, sofas and rugs, to offer a cross solution featured by their unique and timeless style.

Pierre Frey's commitment is to create a universe complete by offering products true to the spirit of the Maison. The proposal is defined by a modern design at times sensual, able to adapt to different contexts with sobriety. The balance between aesthetic and functionality warms the atmosphere, giving a sophisticated and contemporary touch.

The deeply eclectic creativity stands out in a mastery, which has always characterized Pierre Frey's signature fabrics. Prints, wools, linens, velvets, embroideries, jacquards or damasks, have accompanied art and cultures throughout time. A choice that of the historic French brand, rooted in family ties, to share the passion and attention to detail, in each product, bringing a touch of tradition and delicacy into homes.
