Gervasoni, founded in 1882, has a rich history that spans over a century of innovation and design. Managed by Giovanni and Michele Gervasoni, it evolved from a small artisan workshop specializing in wickerwork in the province of Udine.

Originally known as the “Premiata Società Friulana per l’Industria di Vimini” (Award-winning Friulian Society for the Wicker Industry). Passed down to Giovanni Gervasoni in 1925, played a significant role in the Italian design landscape of the 20th century.

Today, Gervasoni is a well-established name in the world of indoor and outdoor furniture. The brand’s journey through the decades has witnessed its evolution into a symbol of avant-garde design and innovation.

This transformation was influenced by the creativity of Paola Navone. She became the artistic director and creator of some of Gervasoni’s most iconic collections until 2020. Despite embracing new frontiers, the company has always maintained a strong foundation rooted in history and tradition.

In May 2015, Gervasoni joined forces with IDB (Italian Design Brands S.p.A.). This partnership sought to create a hub for high-quality Italian design furniture, positioning Gervasoni as a formidable global competitor. Giovanni and Michele Gervasoni, as minority shareholders, also serve on the Board of Directors of the IDB Group.
