Lema, History of the Company

Founded in the 1930s by Angelo Meroni in Brianza, Lema began as a small workshop focused on artisanal furniture. A major shift occurred in the 1970s when the next generation industrialized production and opened a Milan showroom.

Now structured as an S.p.A., Lema serves both domestic and contract markets and collaborates with IOC Project. Its production hubs in Alzate Brianza and Gussago, covering 55,000 m² and designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, employ over 200 staff—solidifying Lema’s place among Italian design leaders.
