The company was founded in 1976 by Giuseppe Lago, its origins date back to the late nineteenth century, its symbol being the figure of the craftsman cabinetmaker Policarpo Lago and his activities in the noble villas of the time. In 2006, the type of company switched to an S.p.A. (an Italian type of company of larger size) addressing an international market, with an essential and innovative design aimed at satisfying the needs of all kind.
