This historic Italian company, producer of exclusive and versatile artifacts, has given birth to several collections. Each one has achieved international success. To mention one, the bookcases set April, May and June, available in a wide range of colours.

Bonaldo, known for the craftsmanship of its products, offers a series of exclusive and modern products. These include the Poly chair, the Octa table and the Peanut B sofa, yet of worldwide fame. Bonaldo's elegant design is the true stylistic signature that distinguishes its products and trend style.

Bonaldo, the Company and its History

It is 1936 when, thanks to the skilful workmanship of the materials, Giovanni Bonaldo, in the role of blacksmith, the company was founded. The scope was to satisfy the various requests of the growing furniture market. The initial phase saw the realization of iron elements, including mainly beds and bed bases. This type of products allowed for the development and knowledge of incisive operating methods for the affirmation of the brand in the territory.

In the following years, the debut at the Italian Salone del Mobile (the main Italian furniture expo) in 1971, represented the rise towards a more conscious production. It introduced the company to the world of design and moving the craftsmanship towards an industrial reality. During these years Bonaldo developed a new concept of sofa bed, able to combine the style and charm of furniture with the functionality of an emergency solution.

Among the innovative ideas of the period, its folding chair was born. Ideal to offer warmth and utility in a single element and characterized by the particular shape that identified it. Since 1980, the collaboration with famous designers, both Italian and international, such as Karim Rashid or Alain Gilles has led the company towards new horizons and successes.

In the meantime, during the following decades, different departments such as Styling S.r.l. and Led & Co. S.r.l. were created. The aim was to specialize and make different the production processes towards the exclusive realization of specific items. 

Until today, Bonaldo S.p.A. welcomes all the realities of the group, leading to the achievement of important goals. Some are the victory of the Good Design Award in 2008, and the recognition of the Big Table, as an icon of the brand and a symbol of Italian excellence and craftsmanship. This latter featured the history of this Group, able to offer products always contemporary in style, confirming the elegance signed Bonaldo.

The Bonaldo Collections and Design

The ever expanding research and development towards new trends and solutions gave the foreign market an increasingly important role. The showrooms and the various points of sale located all over the world confirmed the appreciation of a public with different living requirements and it also outlined Bonaldo’s ability to satisfy preferences and needs in various foreign countries.

Bonaldo products and collections guarantee versatile solutions with a strong visual impact. They find their place also in contract environments, showing a growing development in recent years. Bonaldo collections differ in style, maintaining a common language with which they communicate quality, resilience and originality.

Attention to the needs of domestic environments as well as those of the contract sector, the flexible that features Bonaldo's design. The possibility to configure different products in detail has allowed the company's growing participation in an international panorama, also in the hospital area. 

The partnership in several real estate operations and interior projects all over the world allowed Bonaldo’s products to furnish prestigious environments. Some of these are private homes, hotels, restaurants and companies where a strong scenic and design presence is required.

The Headquarter and the International Showrooms

In collaboration with the designer Mauro Lipparini, historical partner of the company, Bonaldo inaugurates the new showroom located in the city of Padua, Italy. The exhibition center occupies an area of 6.000 square meters, an achievement that has earned the company the Good Design Award. Also thanks to the evocative areas where you can visit the various collections, from the latest products to the icons that have given the brand the success it still boasts around the world.

The center has been designed not only to offer a large exhibition space, but also as a useful place for presentations and workshops. And offers those present the opportunity to discover the history and initiatives proposed by Bonaldo. During the inaugural event, the designer Alain Gilles presented to the public a celebrate product for Bonaldo, the Mass table. A synthesis of the elegance and characteristic values of the company.

The "Total Look" signed by Bonaldo foresees an expansion plan in continuous growth. To seal these intentions Bonaldo has opened showrooms in Beirut, Tsingtao, Shanghai and Taipei and now also in Moscow and Valencia, where to admire the windows of a brand that has made Made in Italy an international excellence.

Debut in the Lighting Industry

Bonaldo makes its debut in the world of lighting to complete the house design. Bringing a collection designed to integrate a functional element with an exclusive style into the compositions signed Bonaldo.

As an expression of its bond with the Veneto (Italy) region of origin, Bonaldo offers lamps made entirely of blown glass. Characteristic of the tradition and skills of the Venetian area, enriching its products with various precious, luxury essences.
