Bonaldo, Brand and Tradition
Bonaldo stands out in the global furniture industry for its excellence in Italian design. Its collections merge timeless elegance with a balanced mix of classic and contemporary style, ensuring durability, aesthetics, and premium quality in every product.
As a historic brand of Italian craftsmanship, Bonaldo has developed several exclusive furniture lines, many of which have gained international recognition. One of the most notable is the April, May, and June bookcase trio, available in an array of vibrant colors.
Renowned for its expert manufacturing, Bonaldo delivers a variety of designer pieces, such as the Poly chair, Octa table, and Peanut B sofa. These iconic designs have become global references of modern elegance and innovative style, showcasing Bonaldo's refined identity in every detail.
Design and Trend
Founded in 1936 by Giovanni Bonaldo, the company began as a small workshop dedicated to crafting metal bed frames. With a passion for quality materials and skilled techniques, Bonaldo soon became a trusted name in the growing Italian furniture market.
In 1971, Bonaldo made its debut at the Salone del Mobile, marking a pivotal step into the design world. This transition from traditional craftsmanship to industrial production led to innovative pieces such as a new generation of sofa beds that combined function and design.
Among Bonaldo's early successes was a uniquely shaped folding chair—practical and visually distinctive. From the 1980s onwards, partnerships with acclaimed designers like Karim Rashid and Alain Gilles elevated the brand to international recognition.
To meet growing demand, the company expanded by founding Styling S.r.l. and Led & Co. S.r.l., enhancing production specialization and efficiency. Today, Bonaldo S.p.A. integrates these entities under one roof, continuing to set benchmarks in the global design arena.
Noteworthy achievements include the 2008 Good Design Award and the Big Table, a flagship piece symbolizing Italian creativity and contemporary design, firmly establishing Bonaldo’s signature in the world of luxury interiors.

From residential spaces to contract projects, Bonaldo’s collections offer versatile design solutions with bold aesthetics. The products vary in style yet share a common language of quality, originality, and visual appeal.
Bonaldo furniture is adaptable across different environments—home, hospitality, office, and even healthcare. Modular configurations allow for tailored designs that meet both aesthetic preferences and functional needs.
Collaborations in large-scale architectural projects worldwide have positioned Bonaldo products in luxury settings, including private villas, boutique hotels, fine dining spaces, and stylish office interiors—where design excellence is key.
Collaborations
Bonaldo’s new headquarters and showroom in Padua, Italy, was created in partnership with long-time collaborator Mauro Lipparini. Spanning 6,000 sqm, the space showcases collections both iconic and new, and has won the Good Design Award for its immersive design experience.
Beyond display, the center hosts design presentations and workshops, offering a full immersion in Bonaldo’s creative universe. During the opening, designer Alain Gilles introduced the Mass table, a piece that encapsulates the brand's identity: innovation, elegance, and Italian sophistication.
Bonaldo’s “Total Look” strategy supports its global expansion, with flagship showrooms now in Beirut, Qingdao, Shanghai, Taipei, Moscow, and Valencia. These locations reflect the brand's commitment to spreading Italian design worldwide.
In response to the growing importance of integrated design, Bonaldo has also entered the lighting sector. Its lighting line complements its furniture collections with solutions that blend functionality and visual impact.
Faithful to its Venetian roots, Bonaldo uses hand-blown glass to create exclusive lighting pieces. These lamps enrich interiors with luxurious finishes and craftsmanship, underlining Bonaldo’s dedication to Made in Italy excellence in every element of the home.
